Public Appearances — Dr Oli Delgaram-Nejad

Public Appearances

Public speaking, media appearances, and interviews

Over the years I have been invited to contribute to podcasts, documentaries, conferences, panel discussions, research projects, media articles, and other public-facing work concerning psychosis and schizophrenia.

I appreciate the interest. However, I no longer undertake public speaking engagements, conference presentations, podcast appearances, media interviews, documentary participation, guest lectures, or similar requests.

Available resources Requests

Everything I currently wish to communicate publicly is already available through the resources on this website.

Why?

This website exists as a stable archive of my work and thinking.

Over many years I have written extensively, recorded hundreds of hours of discussion, completed a doctoral project on schizophrenia and language, and published material intended to remain accessible without requiring my ongoing participation.

The resources already exist.

In most cases, the material available on this site contains considerably more depth and detail than could reasonably be conveyed during an interview, podcast appearance, conference presentation, or media feature.

Where to start

If you are interested in my work on psychosis, schizophrenia, diagnosis, language, recovery, or lived experience, I recommend beginning with the following resources.

PhD Thesis: Linguistic Creativity and Formal Thought Disorder in Schizophrenia

My doctoral work exploring schizophrenia through the lens of language, meaning, and lived experience.

Androids DO Dream

Long-form discussions concerning psychosis, recovery, psychiatric systems, and personal experience.

Additional material can be found throughout the site's articles, publications, videos, and archived content.

Requests

I remain grateful for invitations and expressions of interest.

However, requests relating to the following will normally be declined:

  • conference speaking
  • podcast appearances
  • media interviews
  • documentary participation
  • panel discussions
  • guest lectures
  • collaborative content projects

Please note

This policy is not specific to any organisation, researcher, journalist, producer, institution, or event.

It reflects a general decision to focus on maintaining existing resources rather than participating in new public engagements.

Thank you

I am sincerely grateful that people continue to find value in my work. If you have arrived here through a speaking invitation, interview request, or media enquiry, thank you for your interest and understanding.

The best representation of my views remains the material already available throughout this website.
