It’s Not Over, Until I Win
A companion to doctoral study
This podcast is a long-form companion to the PhD experience. It focuses on supervision, loneliness, integrity, confidence, and the endurance required by prolonged uncertainty. The intention is not to instruct, but to accompany: to name what is often lived privately and to make it speakable.
“The aim is not to instruct… but to accompany.”
What you’ll find here
Episodes focus on what doctoral study does to a person: how standards become ambiguous, how approval becomes scarce, and how self-trust can erode under long stretches of uncertainty. The work is reflective rather than instructional, and aims to preserve psychological realism.
This is not a productivity system and it’s not a set of universal rules. It’s an attempt to give words to common pressures—so that students and supervisors can think and speak more carefully about what the process demands.
